I bought this PS3 for my son for Christmas. It came with the "Drake's Fortune" game, which was OK, but it was also supposed to come with a "voucher" for a second, downloadable game called "Heat". I looked through the materials, but couldn't find the "voucher". So, I went to the Sony website as described in the User's manual and asked what the deal was. They sent me a link to a bunch of FAQs that didn't help. So I replied that I still needed help. They sent me some more links with some more unrelated info, so again I replied that my problem hadn't been solved. Their 3rd response said to call Sony Support. That's when the fun started. It took me a while before I had some time to sit down and make the call. When I got through, on Jan. 31, I was told that because I had purchased the system more than 30 days ago (purchase date from Amazon, approx. Dec. 20) they couldn't help me. I went through 3 levels of management and they all stuck to the same line. Even though nowhere in their documentation does it say anything about 30 days, and the warranty is supposed to be for a year, I'm out of luck. If I cared enough about the $40 or so the game was supposed to be worth, I would hire a lawyer and sue these people. But, since I don't have the time or energy, all I can do is tell people that Sony ships defective equipment and doesn't stand by their warranty. I would not recommend this game, or anything else that is made by Sony.

Bought the PS3 160GB model thinking it was backward compatible still. Choose 80Gb model if you still want to use your PS1&2 games Also Amazon longer price matches,so they refuse to honor price changes. My suggestion is to shop anywhere else as this is not good business!

The seller refused to ship the order to an APO address, so, your guess is as good as mine.

I love the console, but I can't believe they bundled this game with it. The game is outdated, the story line is boring, and the graphics quality is poor. It is definitely not a good way to showcase the power of this console.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! My wife purchased a 40GB model PS3 that included the Sixaxis controller for $399.99,on July 10, 2008 for my Birthday. She also purchased the Dual Shock controller for me as well, being that that model did not come with it. She then also purchased a 2.5" 5400RPM 80GB hard drive to replace the smaller 40GB Hard drive in the PS3. When I recieved the PS3 and accessories on July 14, 2008, I looked at Amazon's website to find that that model had been discontinued and the new model had an 80GB Hard Drive and Dual Shock Controller included for the same price of $399.99. So I was taken advantage of by selling the older model for the newer model price and making me pay 109.98 extra for the upgrades. I have no use for the older controller and the old hard drive will not work in anything other than a PS3, so it is useless as well. Everytime I have tried to resolve the issue over the phone with Amazon, they leave me on hold and eventually hang up on me. I have now just sent E-mail detailing the situation and am now leaving these reviews up for all of the customers like you to be aware of what kind of tactics they are trying to pull. These older 40GB models of PS3 can be sent back to the manufacturer by Amazon for a credit, yet they still pawned it off on me!?!?! Amazon is usually a pretty oggod company as far as customer service is concerned, so I am hoping that this is just one that fell through the crack and one that they will remedy when all you guys read this and they get my E-mail. It is now December 17,2008 and still trying, will keep all you potential PS3'ers informed. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
