I recommend this as a good looking, good functioning remote. There are 3 shortcomings to be aware of, but I think overall this is a great product for what it is.

1. It should have a “power on” button for the PS3

2. It should be bluetooth, not IR

3. It needs either an AC adapter or other means to connect it far away from the PS3. My PS3 sits hidden in my Entertainment center and the included USB cord is too short to get it up to a more accesible area.

But given what’s out there right now, I still think this is a great buy.

I just got it in late november 07 and some buttons didnt work play/pause the wheel fastfoward or rewind buttons wont work on some movies like spiderman 3 or die hard,ratotuie just to name some i called the maker directly thinking it was just mine but they all are the same. somthing about the dvd makers changing the button config and they have no way on fixing it so i got a ripped off 30 bucks call youre self 1800 711 1622 to see and complian they have no anwser to this problem or fix get something else or just use the sixaxis

awesome remote buy it from amazon works great i dont have to point it at the receiver it will work in any direction and i know what buttons 2 use in the dark 2 tell u the truth i probably got the best remote i spent $30 and bought it straight from amazons factory i wouldn’t buy the cheaper ones!!!!!

I bought this remote at a small sale near where I live and I only paid 10 bucks for it. The remote was intact, the base was fine, and all of the paper and even packaging was there. The product has a very cheap feel to it and I honestly felt as though it would break under normal use. The remote works the way it is supposed to, well I guess it does anyway. It’s not very responsive the buttons are weird and most of all…. THERE IS NO HOME BUTTON!! A main function of the PS3 is the ability to access the PS3’s menu system while playing a game or watching a movie. This remote control does not have a home button. In fact it has 2 dvd menu buttons.

It looks cool and the idea behind it is awesome, but it’s a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money.

i got this at almost half the price i paid for the official sony ps3 remote.

this is junk. i GUESS it works ok but the range is horrible.

u are cutting out the blue tooth remote functions. this isnt blue tooth at all..

with the official remote – i can be anywhere in the house almost and still use it.
